Interested in working or volunteering at Harmony?
We need lots of dynamic, skilled instructors/mentors/leaders/tutors/teachers here at Harmony, in addition to compensated volunteers. Here's a quick breakdown, followed by all the forms you need to learn about employment at Harmony and apply! Please note, our start date and days of operation are all in flux for now! Our open hours will be 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., but nothing is set in stone and still subject to change based on our final location and instructor availability.
We're accepting applications for the following positions, but please note we won't start the official hiring process until late July 2024 (once we know what building we will be using).
Hopeful Location: 10 S. Rand Rd., Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047 (please enter into Google Maps carefully! The correct location is next to Wedgewood Stables, NOT Lake Zurich.)
Proposed Alternate Location: Peace Lutheran Church, 1050 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047

Independent Contractor Instructor-Mentors: Plan/propose your own "a la carte" class or classes based on your area of expertise, including class fees, times, ages, etc. (Subject to director approval). Tuition is shared 50/50 with Harmony. Payment via tuition credit is available. Application below.
Pathfinder Learning Pod Leader-Mentors: Our five-hour "full day" program meets one day weekly and leads similar-aged students on an exploratory yearlong program of self-discovery, critical thinking, creativity, and building friendships. Pod Leader-Mentors should be engaging, child-centered mentors with strong experience leading groups of children. Pod Leaders are salaried part-time employees. 2024-2025 this program will likely run on Tuesdays but is subject to change. More info within application below.
Private Tutors: Offer your private tutoring services for any subject/age (5-17) at Harmony. You set your schedule/availability during our weekday business hours 10-3 (other hours can be considered on a case-by-case basis). Families can then seamlessly incorporate your services into their custom-built weekly schedules. Tuition is shared 50/50 with Harmony. Application below.

Tuition-Earning Volunteer Jobs: There are a variety of volunteer positions that require a September-May commitment for adults & teen apprentices.
